The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Settlements Executive to join our operations team. You will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day settlement of transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal procedures and client requirements.
This role is ideal for someone with strong reconciliation or back-office experience who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the settlement of financial transactions in accordance with internal controls and client SLAs
• Reconcile inbound and outbound payments, ensuring any discrepancies are promptly investigated
• Liaise with internal departments, payment processors, and external stakeholders to resolve queries
• Maintain accurate records of settlement activities and produce relevant reports
• Support the onboarding of new accounts and setup of settlement instructions
• Assist with daily cash management processes and funding flows
• Escalate unresolved or high-risk issues to management in a timely manner
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and documentation updates

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in settlements, reconciliations, or financial operations (payments or banking preferred)
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial systems (Excel proficiency essential)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• A team player who can adapt quickly and handle high-volume work
• Understanding of FCA-regulated environments is a plus
