The Role

We are seeking a collaborative and solutions-focused Risk Support Partner to assist in the delivery of client risk frameworks, internal control reviews, and day-to-day operational risk activities. This role is well-suited to someone with a strong grasp of risk principles, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
You will work directly with compliance and risk teams, supporting both client and internal projects with structured documentation, control mapping, and issue tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of risk and control frameworks
• Assist with risk assessments, control testing, and incident reporting
• Liaise with client stakeholders to gather information, clarify requirements, and provide risk updates
• Maintain risk registers, track open actions, and support governance reporting
• Contribute to internal audit readiness and regulatory reviews
• Help coordinate workshops or meetings relating to risk and compliance initiatives
• Stay abreast of key regulatory changes and industry best practices
• Support delivery of managed compliance services and GRC system implementations

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in a risk, audit, or compliance support role (financial services or consultancy preferred)
• Good working knowledge of operational risk principles, risk registers, and control testing
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
• Familiarity with UK regulatory expectations (e.g. FCA SYSC, SMCR)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with GRC platforms or risk tools is a plus
• Relevant certification or studying towards (e.g. IRM, ICA) is desirable
